This is a big myth among people, they think bodybuilders and weight lifters get problems in the long run. I disagree because whoever lifts heavy weights along with appropriate nutrition, slowly and steadily increases their strength. It's a slow process and everyone can gain strength with progressive overload. The more your body gets used to lifting weights with progressive overload, the more prepared it is to lift heavier and to achieve a set goal.
If you lift heavy weights without providing your body proper nutrition or if you are not lifting in a technically correct way or anything more than your capacity, this will lead you to injuries. Your bones will spoil in the long run. if you are lifting 100kg that means that weight is breaking 100 kg worth of muscle in your body and to recover that in 48 hours your body needs a certain amount of protein, carb fiber, essential vitamins and minerals. If you fail to provide this nutrition then the body takes the protein from existing muscle and calcium from bones. When this becomes a routine, our body instead of getting stronger bones, the bones become brittle and u lose muscle both for energy and recovery process.
Nutrition should be taken according to the workout and the intensity with which you do it. Which will be beneficial for you, your body and your bones in the long run.
